Description
The Pellissippi State Community College Emergency Action Plan Training (EAP Training) is a required online training course designed for employees at Pellissippi State Community College. The instructional plan was a team project completed by myself and my classmates during our Instructional Media Development course. Everyone enrolled in the course was assigned responsibilities during the design and development of the online training. One of the requirements for the course was to complete a reflection on our team process and provide anonymous feedback for teammates. Rationale
In this design plan and reflection, I demonstrate my ability to work collaboratively with others, an essential skill in IDT. To develop effective training, designers must work with a variety of subject matter experts as well as other designers. I am also able to demonstrate reflective practices, another important aspect of IDT. Alignment to Career Goals and Professional Standards In this reflection, I demonstrate the collaborative and reflective skills that are so essential to being an instructional designer. Working with a team to develop and implement required training for employees in the higher education field reinforced my interests in adult learning and workforce training and this artifact reflects my ability to do both while following the standards set forth by AECT. AECT Standard 4 (Professional Knowledge and Skills)
